About Us

Who am I?

My name is Mia and I am the owner and operator of Willow and Water. I have had a passion for horses for the majority of my life and have been competing and working in the equine service industry for 12+ years, but have been riding and volunteering with horses for much longer.

I love working outdoors and teaching people all there is to know about horses and our beautiful farm. I hope to one day expand Willow and Water to be a one stop destination for locals or travellers alike looking to reconnect with nature by offering accommodations, farm fresh products, and so much more.

About Willow and water

This property has been in my family for about thirty years and was originally bought for use as a gravel pit for my family’s construction business.

The gravel pit has now been out of service for many years and in that time has undergone a huge transformation. During this period, we have dedicated ourselves to the rehabilitation of the property, sculpting it into the breathtaking farm you see today.

Willow & Water is now home to a pair of bald eagles, boasts gorgeous scenery, and has hundreds of willow, pine, poplar, spruce and maple trees which are tapped each year.

Future Plans

Willow and Water will not just be a location for trail rides and boutique ventures, but rather a one stop destination for your weekend getaway, events, and more.

We hope to one day build a cozy and unique glamping experience on our farm, as well as renovate and expand our antique barn to host events.

At Willow and Water we recognize the importance of animals and nature in therapy and also hope to offer specialized programs and outings for local group homes, seniors homes and support workers with their clients.

These programs will include but are not limited to; fishing, learning about the care and well-being of a horse, nature education, grooming horses, and more.
